In just a few short days, Skrillex (real name Sonny Moore) makes his illustrious return to the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. His show is taking place on May 13th, 2025. Moore is the only artist on the bill, with a scheduled set time of five hours. You heard that right: five straight hours of the absolute legend working his magic.
Skrillex is (not) Dead
The last time Moore played at Red Rocks Amphitheatre was in April of 2023. This, too, was a five-hour set. Moore took to social media a few days after the first “Evening with” to share that it “was honestly one of the best days of [his] life.” Throughout the night, he played from a few different spots in the venue (we’re talking a surprise 360º set) and spun a wide variety of tracks from his collection.
On April 1st, 2025, Moore released his first album since 2023. F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3 is 46 minutes and 28 seconds of bite-sized tracks, some of which are collabs with artists including Virtual Riot, G Jones, and Wuki. The day after the album was released, Moore nonchalantly dropped the show announcement for his next Red Rocks Amphitheatre appearance.
The extreme success of the 2023 event, followed by an album drop, produced a landslide of eager ticket buyers for the event this year. Furthermore, this is the only show currently scheduled for Moore after he played Ultra Music Festival in March.
Unfortunately, the 9,500-capacity Red Rocks Amphitheatre sold out within seconds. On social media, Moore responded to the frustration of potential ticket buyers. He said, “I’m sorry to the people who try to buy my tickets get taken advantage of by scalpers. It’s beyond upsetting and makes me feel terribly.” He also helped work on getting fairly priced tickets back to the public.
The Skrillex-a-thon is Nigh
For those who have been blessed with tickets to the show, expect nothing less than a truly memorable night. Not everyone gets to experience seeing Moore live, let alone for five hours at one of the most beautiful venues in the world. There are talks of excited attendees getting to the venue to camp out in line as early as 8:00 AM. We are ready! But remember, it’s a marathon, not a sprint.
If you didn’t manage to score tickets to the sold-out show, you still have time to enter to win a pair of tickets. Click here to enter!
