Effin

Effin stands testament to the notion that hard work pays off over time. The Nashville-based DJ and producer has kept at it for more than 12 years, and on Saturday, January 16th, 2027, the rising bass music talent is playing his biggest headline show to date at Mission Ballroom in Denver.

Along for the ride are Nikita, The Wicked and AYCH. The former DJ and producer hails from Louisville, Kentucky and now calls San Francisco home. The latter is a fellow Nashvillian on a trajectory similar to that of Effin. Rounding out the lineup is Shank Aaron, a Denver local who commands a formidable draw in his home market.

And what can we say about Mission Ballroom that hasn’t already been shouted from the rooftops by music lovers? Located in the RiNo neighborhood, the 60,000-capacity venue boasts state-of-the-art production and sound, making a headline set there a milestone in the career of any artist.

Effin (real name Sam Martinez) started producing music in high school. His release history dates back to the end of 2017, and he caught his big break on the back of an October 2019 remix of “The One” that got thoroughly rinsed by bass music DJs the world over.

Now 30 years old, Martinez has released two LPs: September 2023’s Cheap Thrills and June 2025’s Daydreams. He put yet another feather in his cap during this year’s edition of Electric Forest in Rothbury, Michigan, where he played on the main stage for the first time.

If you’ve been following along on Effin’s journey, we need not say anymore. His Mission Ballroom appearance promises to be a full-fledged milestone attended by fans far and wide. Register for the presale to get your tickets and make sure you’ll get to experience this special moment. We’ll see you on the dance floor.
