John Summit Takes on Vail Again This Year

For the second year in a row, John Summit will return to Vail on February 14th. This Experts Only production features a plethora of house and techno and incredible talent from the label. John Summit will turn this skiing community into one hot party.

At just 30 years old, Summit has forged a path through the music scene, making quite a name for himself. For over 10 years, he honed his craft and perfected his skills while having fun. His high energy and infectious music have brought him to where he is today — as one of the most in-demand DJs and producers around.

From CPA to DJ


Hailing from Chicago suburb Naperville, Summit was born John Schuster. A former CPA, his meticulous and complex skills clearly carried over from this former career. He also gave tutorials on YouTube for music production, which prefaced his future endeavors. He’s not a stranger to helping others and educating the masses. Hell, he even lurks on Reddit and offers advice and tips there as well.

Having conquered DJing and music production, Summit decided to run his own record label and production company. That’s how Experts Only Records came to be. A label geared toward artistic freedom and music without limits, the brand is a hub for Summit and others to explore house, techno and beyond. Since its creation, Experts Only has hosted events in Vail, of course, and a campout in Tennessee with a show in Tahoe coming up as well.

The festivities will take place at Ford Park in Vail. It’s a serene location, with beautiful views, plenty of trees, streams, and lots of open space. The park features an amphitheater, sports complex, forest, garden, a suspension bridge, and a play area. It’s a large place with a little something for everybody. An enchanting spot to hear some banging bass-filled John Summit beats.

Joining John Summit are Layton Giordani, Ranger Trucco, and GS5, which makes for an incredibly pleasing lineup. Also, this night is part of a bigger Vail Weekender, which runs from Valentine’s Day through the 16th. The whole event features day parties, mountain pop-ups, and afterparties, plus you can be sure each day will have talents such as these.
