In effect is the homecoming feeling of Autumn’s approach can fill anyone with joy from the late Summer’s glow. The festivals that are being thrown are perfect examples of the vibe we all cherish. First thing to remember is that some of these are happening at the tail end of August and bleed into next month. So keep them under your hat for next year and plan ahead!
Let’s get started.

Drum and Bass heads, come get your fix. Outlook Festival is infamous for being a massive party with a big underground vibe. This is due to the fact that Outlook takes place in an old sea side fortress. Because of this, boat parties, scenic views, ancient architecture, and banging stage in the tunnels below are a guarantee to get your summer festival right. This year they’re opening up more of the tunnels to keep that underground party thumping. The lineup lists Andy C, Malaa + The Outlook Orchestra, Shy FX, Gentlemen’s Dub Club, a jungle set from Chase & Status, Bugzy Malone, and a seemingly never ending list of more.

Dancefestopia, the Wizard of Oz – esque festival is one of the Midwest’s best. Every year this festival continues to grow in size and popularity. Artists love coming to play here so much they often pop in the after hours camps just to party with their fans. In addition to a stacked lineup, the festival offers a number of fun activities. Show goers can enjoy rock walls, zip lines, canoe adventures, and hot air balloon rides. Equally important are the multiple stages and campsites spread out across a sprawling and magical forest curated to be as magical as the Land of Oz. The line up lists ATLiens, Big Gigantic, Bonnie X Clyde, Decadon, Delta Heavy, Feed Me, Freddy Todd, Esseks, Govinda, Phutureprimitive, LSDREAM, Russ Liquid, Walter Wilde, Virtual Riot, RL Grime, Minesweepa, Liquid Stranger Said The Sky, and Subdocta.

All in all, there’s seemingly no end to the fun September has to offer. Because of this, artists will be tailoring their performances to fit each of these stages, and we absolutely can’t wait!
