Good guy Michael Bibi. “Good guy [name]” is still a thing people say in 2025, right?
Either way, Michael is, in fact, a good guy, because he’s just donated £114,000 (nearly $150,000 USD) to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The UK organization raises money to fund the hospital that treated him during his well-publicized battle with CNS lymphoma in 2023.
“Today I visited Royal Marsden, had my 2 year scans, dropped off a donation from One Life, and was told I remain in remission for a second year,” Michael wrote in an Instagram post. “Today was a good day. Thank you everyone that helped get us here and danced along the way.”
Michael Bibi bought his first pair of belt-driven turntables at only 14. After initially failing to gain traction as a DJ, he started throwing his own parties with modest success. He and fellow DJ and producer PAWSA launched the Solid Grooves record label in 2015, and the ascent that followed has elevated both of them to stages across the globe.
After his brush with death, Michael’s star has soared even higher, taking him to Coachella’s new Quasar Stage in 2024 as well as his own monumental One Life London event in 2025. Recently, he and Solid Grooves brought artists like Dennis Cruz, Rossi. and Mai Lachetti to a party organized by Framework in Los Angeles.
This isn’t the first time Michael has made a massive donation to benefit those suffering from cancer. In 2024, he donated £125,000 of his One Life London earnings to Royal Marsden, and in 2025, he contributed €56,021 in donations solicited at the door of an Ibiza event to local cancer charity APAAC.
We love to see a world-class artist paying it forward. Who knows — some of the cash Michael Bibi has put up could have very well gone to saving someone else’s life.
