Meow Wolf Vortex artwork

Everyone loves a solid music festival with a stacked lineup. But how often do we get an incredible, three-day festival put on by one of our favorite immersive art destinations?

This August, Meow Wolf Denver and Live Nation are bringing back Vortex — a unique and immersive festival experience. The event will take place from August 25th-27th at The JunkYard near downtown Denver. The lineup features a wide variety of artists, so there will be something for everyone!

Kicking things off on Friday, singer-songwriter Remi Wolf will headline. After competing on American Idol back in 2014, Wolf has traveled the world performing with huge names such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Nas. She’s sure to wow the crowd with her incredible talent and eclectic style. Also playing Friday are house heavy hitters Claude VonStroke and Dennis Ferrer. Not a house head? No problem! There are also plenty of more experimental artists such as Jadu Heart and Jean Dawson.

On Saturday night, we’ll be treated to a Colorado favorite GRiZ as the headliner. GRiZ is no stranger to Meow Wolf. In fact, he was the first artist ever to play the Perplexiplex, the music venue inside of Denver’s Meow Wolf location. He’s also quite familiar with The JunkYard, as he played a free show there just a few weeks before this announcement. It only makes sense for him to grace this lineup. On Saturday night he will also be joined by rapper Armani White, bass sensation Zingara, singer-songwriter Two Feet, a Brownies & Lemonade All-Stars takeover, and many more talented performers.

GRiZ returns Sunday night for another headline performance, and this time it will be a special “Chasing The Golden Era” set. This is sure to be the perfect finale to a completely stacked weekend. Helping GRiZ wrap things up are more Colorado favorites the Funk Hunters, Dirtybird legend Justin Martin, and up-and-coming bass artists Parkbreezy and Thought Process. As if we weren’t already sold on this lineup, the legendary TOKiMONSTA will also join in to help close out Sunday night.

Meow Wolf is a popular arts attraction that opened its flagship venue in Santa Fe, New Mexico back in 2008. Since then, they have opened more locations and have plans to open even more in the future. Meow Wolf Denver was wildly anticipated and finally opened doors in September 2021. The Vortex event, which used to take place in Taos, New Mexico, moved to Denver last year. After a very successful first year in Denver, it’s no surprise that Meow Wolf is bringing this abstract event back for another round.

Tickets for this event are available now on Party Guru’s Vortex By Meow Wolf event page.
