Maddy O’Neal is a pretty big deal to us here at Party Guru. We’ve been promoting her shows for ten whole years, and during that time, we’ve gotten to watch her rise from the ground up. So believe us when we say that her Mission Ballroom co-headline debut is the biggest event of her career.
Set for Saturday, February 28th, the outing will see Maddy share the stage with none other than Grammy-nominated Los Angeles DJ and producer TOKiMONSTA. Supporting them is breakthrough talent Mary Droppinz, UK garage mainstay Neumonic, and local up-and-comer smores.
But for Maddy, this Mission Ballroom show marks a milestone. It’s a homecoming of sorts. It shows that despite moving out of state to elevate her career, she’ll always celebrate the hardest in her former stomping grounds of Colorado.
The Maddy O’Neal Come Up
Maddy O’Neal started her career all the way back in 2011. Although she balanced her musical pursuits with coursework at CU Boulder, she still covered considerable ground, working alongside the likes of Daily Bread, Artifakts, and Late Night Radio.
And while she was initially categorized as an electro-soul artist, Maddy’s sound is not so easy to label in the present day. She never abandoned the groove and swing of her previous work, but her 2022 album Ricochet offered up more thunderous, bass-heavy drops, and she kept that same energy in her 2025 EP Creatures of my Mind. This transition has served her well, taking her from local stages to national tours.
But rather than rest on her laurels, Maddy is bringing even more new music to the table for her Mission Ballroom show. The anticipation propelled her into a creative flow state, and you need to be there to hear the fruits of her labor.
“The runway to this homecoming catapulted me into a creative overdrive where I managed to write an entire EP worth of music and workshopped my entire catalogue in a way that feels fresh,” Maddy wrote on social media. “I’m so insanely excited to share with y’all what l’ve been up to.”
