LP Giobbi has announced her biggest headline tour to date. Her Way Back Home Tour will stop in 14 states across the US. And on November 30th, she’ll make her way to the Mission Ballroom for a Saturday night show unlike any other.
LP Giobbi, born Leah Chisholm, is known as a one-woman jam band. A DJ, producer, pianist, music director and activist, Chisholm can also now add singer to her list of accolades. Her most recent single, “Time Expands,” released on her newest label venture YES YES YES, is the first song to feature her vocals.
In the short time since Chisholm debuted in the music scene, she’s co-founded a label, co-founded a collective, become the global director of music for W Hotels, toured the world, and remixed Jerry Garcia’s debut album. From the beginning, Chisholm has strived to make a difference in music and for the people behind it.
And one of the ways she wanted to do that is with her collective, Femme House. Chisholm, along with longtime collaborator hermixalot, created the non-profit to help change the disparity that females, gender expansive folx, and BIPOC face within the music industry. Together, they hope to change the musical landscape — one Ableton workshop, online course and scholarship program at a time.
This tour is different from any LP Giobbi’s done to date. This show centers on the dancefloor and the dancers, as most shows will be in the round. MIssion Ballroom’s moving stage is perfect for this! Featuring state-of-the-art lights and sound, plus a versatile setup, the ballroom can hold between 2,200 and 3,950 attendees. And with the stadium seating, any seat at the ballroom offers a great view. There are bathrooms and full-service bars scattered around the venue as well, offering optimal flow for service.
