Saturday, June 29th, marked the return of Rawhide Event Center, located in Chandler, Arizona. After a long three years, the venue made its comeback with a spectacular kickoff to the summer. Relentless Beats brought Illenium and other well-known artists to the stage for a memorable welcome back celebration.
Lineup
As the sun began to set in the Arizona desert, MAMBA took the stage and electrified the crowd. His tracks, spanning a mix of bass, house and underground influences, got people moving and set the perfect tone for the night ahead. No stranger to the local AZ scene, Mamba has also been seen opening for other well-known events such as Goldrush Music Festival and Decadence Arizona.
Bonnie X Clyde carried on the vibes with a set that intertwined a blend of trap, bass and pop culture references, creating an incredibly fun atmosphere. This multi-talented duo is currently on tour for their recently released album, There’s No Tomorrow, and have played at other festivals including EDC Las Vegas, Breakaway Festival, and Illfest.
Crankdat turned up the heat as he took the stage with an insane set filled with heavy bass, trap and drum and bass. His high-energy performance made his set a highlight of the evening. Crankdat’s popularity has been rising rapidly thanks to his remixes of popular songs, and his performances at festivals like EDC Las Vegas.Â
Hearts were set on fire as Illenium began his set. He delivered a perfect blend of dubstep and melodic bass, captivating the crowd. The audience was in sync as he played hits such as “Feel Something” with Excision, “Zombie” with Excision and Wooli, his edit of “Say It” by Flume, and even his unreleased track, “UR Alive” featuring Wylde. The energy of the crowd only grew stronger as Illenium played. His instant connection with the audience was undeniable!
The main stage featured LED screens, a lighting rig with multiple spotlights, lasers, and pyrotechnics. These elements combined to create an immersive experience for attendees!Â
Vendors
Rawhide hosted a variety of vendors for food, drink and shopping!Â
Food options included street tacos, Sonoran dogs, chicken tenders, fries and more! Drink options featured mixed cocktails, beers, BeatBox Beverages and other seltzers. Vendors included Wetzel’s Pretzels and Smokin’ Daddy, which offered smoked cocktails and lemonade.Â
Attendees could shop at various booths such as Moon Lvnding, The Gypsy Elysian, Kandies World and Elite Wear. They were stocked with rave essentials and fashion items like hydro packs, face masks, hand fans, pinecone pendants, pashminas and more!
Final Details
Rawhide offered free parking, with additional lots for premium and ADA patrons. Entry was quick and efficient.
Inside the festival, there were plenty of free water stations available, along with a misting truck to help keep attendees cool throughout the night. There were also hangout spots and multiple photo ops for attendees to enjoy.
VIP amenities included air-conditioned bathrooms, a glamor bar, a free kandi-making station, and premium viewing of the stage.
Last but not least, the Relentless Beats Rangers were constantly moving throughout the grounds, ensuring the safety of all attendees and offering assistance whenever needed!
