Dan Griffith, also know for his stage name Gryffin, has been busy in the electronic music scene since his debut single “Heading Home” in 2016. Since then, he’s racked up an impressive resume with multiple singles and collaborations with artists like Illenium and Daya. Earlier this week he dropped his debut album Gravity. It includes massive collaborations with notable artists such as Seven Lions, Carly Rae Jepson, Slander, Gorgon City and Droeloe.

The Show

Denver-based artist Covex opened the night. His chilled out melodic tunes were a perfect start to the evening as concert goers began to fill up the venue. After that came Fairlane, a Canadian based multi-instrumental artist. His sound continued the theme of the night of melodic, chilled out and uplifting music.

In direct support for Gryffin was no other than Medasin. Medasin has been making a name for himself in the last couple years collaborating with artists like Ekali, remixing “Portugal The Man” and releasing his debut album Irene last year. Undoubtedly, his set did not disappoint. Above all, he proved how diverse his sound can be with his own edit of “The Office Theme Song,” heavy-hitting trap beats and popular tunes like “Home.”

The last time Gryffin was in Denver he played at the Bluebird Theater, a 550 person venue. Fast-forward two years later, he’s playing Denver’s brand new 4,000 person venue. His rise as an artist comes as no surprise as his set showcased his remarkable talents. For example, throughout the set he was switching between a variety of instruments including his drum pads, electric guitar, keyboards, acoustic guitar and piano. In addition, vivid visuals, sparks and an accompanying live band made it almost impossible to turn away for even a second.

It’s going to be incredible watching him continue to make waves in the electronic music scene. His new album Gravity just arrived and is worth the listen. In short, the sky is the limit for Gryffin.
