Global Dance Festival 2022 Excision

46 artists will descend on Denver on July 21st and 22nd to create a festival experience you won’t want to miss. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Colorado’s own Global Dance Festival. Taking place at Empower Field at Mile High, the Denver area will once again converge for its annual summer dance music tradition.

Global Dance came through once again to celebrate 20 years with incredible, top-billed talent. Kx5 (Kaskade x Deadmau5) will be making their Colorado debut as arguably the most anticipated act on the festival lineup. Grammy Award winner Zedd will also make a triumphant return to the Mile High City, capturing the hearts and dancing feet of all those in the crowd as he cycles through his top hits on the main stage. This year also marks the return of many Global Dance Fest favorites such as Latino icon Deorro, trap music legend TroyBoi, and house legend Green Velvet.

Multiple stages will sprawl across the parking lot next to the home of the Denver Broncos, leaving a space for every genre to be heard and celebrated. Whether you come for house, trap, dubstep, or the slow, trippy bass music vibes, there will be a stage dedicated to your ear’s preferences.

What is a festival without food?! One of my favorite parts of Global Dance Festival is the impeccable variety of food available through vendors. Make sure you take a break to rehydrate at one of the many water stations and visit the food truck alley. Your body will thank you.

Global made sure to dive deep into the inclusion of women artists this season, and they did not disappoint. House music queens J.Worra, Capozzi, Annabel Englund, and Miss Dre will be rocking the 128 BPM energy all weekend. Level Up and Austeria will be doing their part to bring the bass to the city known as the Bass Capital. Finally, a cannot miss act this weekend will be the vocalist known as Haliene. She’s known for contributing vocals on tracks such as “Rush Over Me”, “Horizon”, and “In My Mind” for artists such as Illenium, Said the Sky, Kill the Noise, and Seven Lions. Haliene will be bringing her live show to Global Dance Festival as well.

Back-to-back sets can always create a unique experience, and this year’s lineup features five wildly diverse sets headed your way. Borgore and Dion Timmer will ignite a heavy bass eruption as they merge forces for what is set to be a dubstep classic set. Benda and Stoned Level will be bringing the crowd to life with some wobbly beats and crunchy bass lines to the dance music atmosphere outside Mile High Stadium. Local artist option4 is combining forces with psychedelic house producer Moon Boots for what is set to be a magical house journey. Kareem Martin and Vedic will unleash a tech house rave inside the festival for their house-filled B2B. Scratch master Zeke Beats will be side by side with influential bass music act Buku for a creative mind blast of a set. Finally, Kaskade and Deadmau5 will take mainstage as they rip anthem after anthem from the duo’s legendary side project. Two Global Dance icons will be making their presence felt as the pinnacle act on this year’s insanely diverse lineup.

Underneath the main acts lies the future of the dance music scene. Denver locals will be gearing up for the biggest performances of their lives. Some join the main stages, others explore the depths of the Crystal Caverns Silent Disco. Among the locals performing are up-and-coming dubstep producer Aarbear, the man of many melodies Krushendo, the genre-hopping local LUCAS, and the downtempo creator Denver Doses. Make sure to dive deep under the stadium for a glimpse of the future of the Denver music scene.

Don’t be stuck wondering what these sets could sound like. Make sure you’re there to hear them for yourself as these artists and many, many more come together to create the experience that could only be called Global Dance Festival.
