Festival Season Starts Now

The new decade has barely even started, yet countless festivals around the globe have already dropped their lineups for the 2020 summer festival season. Millions of festival-goers are excited to pack up their cars and drive across the country to experience a weekend full of music and dancing.

The summer months seem to be quite far away for most. However, if you’re looking to kick start your festival season a little early, look no further. Brainquility Music Festival is next month! Taking place at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, this festival lasts for three days and features over 30 musical acts.

This festival got its start in 2018 at the Waterfront Park in Safety Harbor, FL. Last year, it expanded and moved into Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. This spring, it’s returning to the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Brainquility is quickly proving that it’s becoming a new spring festival staple.

Art, Music, and Yoga. Oh My!

Mark your calendars for February 6 – 8, 2020. This three-day, fully immersive experience includes camping, music, interactive art exhibits, classes, and yoga. Disc golf and scavenger hunts are also offered throughout the weekend.

Brainquility prides themselves on providing full-scale festival production accompanied by a beautifully intimate feel. Artists on the lineup for this spring include The Floozies, Manic Focus, Justin Martin, Sunsquabi, Kill Paris, and more. Sets never overlap throughout the weekend. As a result, you won’t have to miss any music.

A lot of the Funk-heavy artists featured on this lineup are veterans of art-focused festivals like these. Therefore, their freeing melodies and instrumentation are the perfect soundtrack for a weekend in the woods.

Spirit of the Suwannee

The venue itself that holds Brainquility is full of magic and new spaces to explore at every turn. The grounds are home to other festivals including Suwannee River Jam and Suwannee Hulaween. Eight hundred acres are ready to be discovered via tons of different trails and rivers. Lighted trees completely transform the venue and campground at night into a wonderfully mystical setting.

The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is one of the most unique, memorable places that you can visit. As a result, every time that you set foot in the park will feel like your first. It’s incredibly easy to spend hours simply walking through the campgrounds during the day before seeing some music later on in the afternoon.

There are hundreds of campsites available in the park for anyone that purchases a Car Pass for $10. This allows you to bring your own car in and park right at your campsite. For those wanting to bring in their own RV, an RV pass is available for $20. Also, a General Store is available for snacks, drinks, and essentials, in case your festival squad forgets anything for your weekend trip.

Pro Tips for Attendees

There are multiple options for lodging during the weekend of Brainquility. These include driving in your own car and camping or bringing your own RV. Upgraded options of staying in a cabin on site (this option is sold out), or staying in a hotel in a neighboring town are options as well. Early Arrival Passes are also available if you want to extend your trip as early as the Sunday before the festival.

According to Brainquility, the weather in February reaches a high of 70 degrees Fareinheight during the day and low of 40 degrees Fareinheight at night. Due to these temperatures, it’s going to be cold by the time you make the trek back to your campsite. Bring plenty of warm clothing along with extra blankets.

If you want to make your Brainquility weekend one you’ll never forget, the General Store offers golf cart rentals. You can also bring in your own golf cart for a Trail Fee of $230 and shuttle you and your friends throughout the park. The venue is a lot bigger than expected. Consequently, if you want to spend less time walking between your campsite and the venue, bringing or renting a golf cart is highly recommended.

When heading into the venue, security does have restrictions on bags that are allowed. Backpacks must be under the following dimensions: 22” x 14” x 9”. Due to these restrictions, it is also suggested that clear bags are used to expedite your time in the security line.
