The height of the festival season is finally here everybody! The things we love most about Summer are going to be at their prime! As we begin the month, we are reminded of all the reasons we immerse ourselves in this lifestyle. The thoughts of camping, beautiful scenery, the chance to explore new and unfamiliar places are so refreshing, and we at Party Guru are beside ourselves.
The month of June is packed with some of the best festivals one can attend this year. From small, hometown favorites to a few of the largest on the circuit, there’s an adventure just waiting to happen. We’ve narrowed down ten of our hand picked choices in this Top Ten and, trust us, there isn’t a show on here that we wouldn’t recommend.

#1 Dreams Festival, June 29th – 30th, Toronto, Canada

This small, two-day festival is the perfect way to spend some time out of the states. Just across the border into Ontario, show goers will experience a fun romp with a diverse lineup that features a variety of artists. Rezz, Zedd, Gorgon City, Borgore, Don Diablo, Claptone, Louis The Child, and Paul Oakenfold are just a few.

#2 Spring Awakening Festival, June 7th – 9th, Hoffman Estates, Illinois

Located on the North side of Chicago, Spring Awakening makes ANOTHER venue change this year. We’re just a couple of  days away from this one, so book your flights soon! This iconic Chicago festival is a staple. EDM lovers and raver kids of all kinds know and love Spring Awakening. Part carnival, part music festival, this show features a very EDM oriented lineup and tons of great live sound and production. One of the biggest rock and roll festivals in the world returns for its 35th run. Wow, what an accomplishment. Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Ring have seen the best of the best over the years, and the 2019 lineup stands alongside the others just as well. This show is so huge they sold over 88,000 tickets in 2017. Go look up some performances from this place to really get yourself into the mood. The lineup this year boasts huge acts from Tool, Alice In Chains, The Smashing Pumpkins, Bring Me The Horizon, Architects, Die Antwoord, Slayer, Underoath, Amon Amarth, Slipknot, and Tenacious D.

#4 The Untz, June 1st – 2nd, Mariposa, California

Oh man, this one is heady. The Untz makes its wobbly touchdown to the beautiful Mariposa Fairgrounds. Not only is there some wild music on this bill, but the festival will also feature Yoga and Production workshops, live art, and live stage performances. The lineup features just the right of wobble, with experimental and leftfield bass. Leading the charge is Space Jesus, Subtronics, Bukez Finezt + Friends, Goopsteppa, and label takeovers from Slug Wife and Gravedancer. Shout out to hometown production team Sub.Mission for helping curate this show.

#5 Firefly Festival, June 21st – 3rd, Dover, Delaware

Probably the coolest thing to come out of Delaware is Firefly Festival. Making its 7th run, this renown team prides itself as being the East Coast’s largest festival and we can see why. Firefly is home to The Great Atlantic Campout, a highly immersive and unmatched scenic campground with tons of tiered camping options for show-goers. One of the biggest fests in the Midwest gears up for another go. Bonnaroo features a lot and it’s hard to hone in on just the highlights. Tennessee is a beautiful state, and aside from the heat, Bonnaroo is one of the best places to get your festival camping on. They’re promoting tons of activities this year, ranging from yoga sessions, to a 5k run, and of course tons of down-home cooking. Bonnaroo prides itself on having one of the most diverse and varied lineups out of any of its peers. #10 Electric Forest, June 27th – 30th, Rothbury, Michigan

Electric Forest, one of the pillars of the festival scene. There are many reasons why Electric Forest continues to be one of the biggest and most sought after shows in the world. For those of you who have been, you already know. For those who haven’t, the forest itself could really sell a person on the weekend. It is so, so beautiful. A show-goer could spend their entire weekend exploring the grounds and never catch a set. The Electric Forest team spares no expense when it comes to making the forest a mythical adventure, full of surprises and atmosphere. Artists tailor their performances months in advance for this show. We have no doubt this year will be just as insane. As to be expected the lineup is INCREDIBLE, so head over to their website to get the full scoop. The key bits will be Kygo, Bassnectar, and Zeds Dead, and three sets from The String Cheese Incident.
