Excision demonstrates his DJ skills to a crowd

On the heels of revealing rescheduled dates and lineups for new Basstrack shows at the Phoenix Raceway, Excision announced an exciting upcoming Denver concert. The bass behemoth will bring the Nexus tour outdoors to the Denver Coliseum in 2024. Held over two days on May 31st and June 1st, the extravaganza promises to be epic. Fans can expect an elaborate stage production, heralded as the most substantial setup the artist has employed, and a fantastic supporting cast.

Precision in Excision

Excision, real name Jeff Abel, is no stranger to throwing colossal, festival-style shows. In addition to the upcoming Basstrack gig in Arizona, Colorado fans enjoyed several treats in 2023. February brought the Denver area a trio of performances. First came the Detox set at the Mission Ballroom on February 9th, which featured a diverse set list. Following closely behind was a pair of dates at the 1stBANK Center in Broomfield presenting “The Evolution.” Those dates gave audiences a taste of the dubstep-infused beats and jaw-dropping production for which Abel is known.

Abel’s second record label, Subsidia, was launched just over three years ago, expanding his legacy of bass. Having founded Rottun Recordings earlier in his career, the illustrious producer strove to create a new comprehensive bass platform. With over 100 tracks released accompanying the label’s debut, he demonstrated a wide range of soundscapes. From more melodic, flowing tracks to heavier building jams spread across four records, Subsidia got off to a blazing start. In addition to using the platform to showcase his music, Abel dedicated to fostering musical diversity in EDM. The label releases music from both established and up-and-coming artists.
