This isn’t your typical flower fantasy.

The Flower Power KiKi Ball is an ode to growth—as theory, as design, as revolution. Inspired by petal architecture, pollen, and yes, a wink to the psychedelic bloom of the 60s, this ball is a call to those who thrive in softness, strangeness, futurism, and fashion.

Expect conceptual looks rooted in metamorphosis. Flora as armor. Garden as battleground. Petals pollinating the runway. The categories will invite you to interpret growth not just as aesthetic, but as process—messy, sacred, and spectacular. Category details will be shared soon!

You are invited to blossom.

Come weird. Come wonderful. Come water yourself.

 CATEGORIES 

1. Beginners Runway – Bring It Like a Daisy [ Trophy ]
“Simple. Sweet. Full of charm. Just like a daisy.”

This category is for those who have been walking runway under 2 years. Bring it in a look inspired by the daisy — one of the most iconic, youthful and joyful flowers in the garden.

Whether through color, shape, or energy, let your look and your walk reflect a fresh bloom ready to be seen.

 Tips: You don’t need to do the most — just show up cute, confident, and creative. A pop of yellow, a daisy-print piece, a petal-shaped accessory, or even a flower in your hair can go a long way.

2. Beginners Vogue – Hey Buttercup! [ Trophy ]
“Soft but not shy”

This category is for those who have been voguing under 2 years. Your only requirement: bring a touch of yellow in your effect. That can be your top, your nails, a headband, or a prop. Now y’all know I’m a sucker for a look, so don’t be afraid to lean into a concept.

Tips: Keep it light, have fun, and let your personality lead the performance. You don’t need to do it all — just bring your energy, and your yellow moment.

3. FACE – Paper Petals [ $200 + Trophy ]
“Paper holds memory. Petals hold grace. Give us a face worthy of pressing between pages.”

Bring it in a paper-crafted floral effect that frames, accents, or highlights your face — paired with a soft, radiant, dewy glow for face.

Tips: Your use of paper can be subtle or sculptural: origami, construction paper, tissue, printed patterns, etc. The paper petals may be the full effect, a statement, or detail — just make sure it’s flower-inspired, and your face remains the focal point.

4. RUNWAY – The Garden Glove [ $500 + Trophy ]
“You just finished tending to the garden… but make it fashion.”

For this category, the effect is all in THE GLOVE— the essential tool of the flower grower, now reimagined as a full fashion statement. Your effect must feature gloves that feel like they came straight out of the garden: think floral, earthy, overgrown, or wildly impractical in the best way. The rest of your look can be as subtle or as extra as you want— but it should still feel complete and intentional. Whether minimal or a full-on fantasy, make sure the glove remains the centerpiece. Don’t let the rest of your outfit fall flat— everything should bloom together.

 Tips: Think of materials like latex, mesh, or deconstructed gloves. Think of different color stories and characters tending to the garden…

5. REALNESS – She Loves Me… She Loves Me Not (FF, MF) [ $200 + Trophy ]
“High school sweethearts. Two sides of the same flower.”

For this category, we’re inviting Realness to step into a teenage romance fantasy. Think late spring, yearbook season, class rings, secret hallway crushes, and the ache of not knowing if they love you back. Each side brings a different piece of the love story.. Must incorporate a flower in your effect or as a prop.

 Tips: Jock, Cheerleader, Prom King/Queen, Homecoming court. 80s, etc. Must include a flower element or prop.

6. PERFORMANCE – Bumped Ends vs. Bone Straight [ $500 + Trophy ]
“You got your ends bumped or your inches pressed?”

Tonight we’re paying a subtle nod to hairography, a rooted element of vogue fem.. Bring it in a bob, but not just any bob:

– Bumped Ends – Give us that classic curved-under finish, soft, and sweet.
– Bone Straight – Sleek, sharp, and stiff where?

Effect must include one of the two bob hairstyles listed above and a floral detail. Get creative!

7. SEX APPEAL – The Garden of Eden [ $200 + Trophy ]
“In the most biblical sense… I am beyond repentance.”

Welcome to the first temptation — the original garden where desire bloomed wild. For this category, bring it as a being or element from the Garden of Eden — but make it sexy, creative, and unmistakably you.

Tips: Come as The apple: sweet, forbidden, perfect The snake: slick, coiled, seducing in silence Eve, Adam, Steve: divine bodies, leaves required lol. A flower that lured, a tree that watched, a fruit that glowed. Whether you’re soft, slithering, or sanctified, your sex appeal must feel untouchable and undeniable — the kind that rewrote history.

8. NAIL AFFAIR – Midsommar May Queen [ Trophy ]
“You’ve been crowned… but at what cost?”

For this Nail Affair, create a nail set inspired by the haunting beauty and quiet discomfort of the Midsommar May Queen. We want to see a floral fantasy with an edge — something ceremonial, overgrown, ornate, or just a little too perfect.

Quiet discomfort doesn’t mean scary — it means something unsettling beneath the beauty. A hint of decay, a cracked flower, a slightly off symmetry, or a subtle story told through the color choices.

 Tips: The nails should feel like they belong to someone chosen.
Embellished, crowned, flower-covered, or garden-drenched. You might include pressed petals, 3D floral clusters, or woven natural textures. Gold leaf, lace detailing, tiny bouquet sculptures, vines, or sun motifs — all fair game

9. CUNT vs CUNT – Strawberry Shortcake [ Trophy ]
“It’s sugar, spice, and floral fights — who’s the most cunt in the garden?”

This category is for the GNCs and Butch Queens only. Step into the world of Strawberry Shortcake — but make it high femme, high fantasy, and high cunt.

Bring a look inspired by the iconic characters from the Strawberry Shortcake universe — that includes the girls, the villains, the berries, the pastries, and the floral aesthetics of it all. Think sugary silhouettes, exaggerated cuteness, and bold personality.

10. KIKI LABELS – Who Bought You These Flowers? [ Trophy ]
“Tonight, the look must match the bouquet — and the story that comes with it.”

For this category, bring a best dressed look that coordinates with a bouquet of your choice — and make sure the vibe is consistent. Are you the girl who got a last-minute grocery store arrangement wrapped in plastic and still made it fashion? Or are you the one who walked in holding a bespoke, hand-tied floral fantasy from a luxury florist?

 Your bouquet must be real or realistic and visibly carried as part of the effect. Let your floral prop and fashion tell a cohesive, funny, stunning, or dramatic story. You can play it couture, camp, or comedic — just make sure we believe the flowers and the fit came from the same universe.

 Tips:
*Corner store bouquet → mesh dress, jelly sandals, sheer gloss, walk of shame fantasy
*Farmer’s market bundle → linen set, natural textures, thrift-core garden muse
*Designer roses → monochrome elegance, expensive perfume, quiet luxury girl
*Oversized bodega → clashy prints, plastic heels, camp

11. Tap That Bitch – (Any Category)
“You see them. You want them. You tap that bitch.”

This is a wild card call-out category. Anyone can walk. Any category is fair game — Face, Runway, Realness, Performance, you name it.

How it works:
You tap someone you want to battle. That could be a friend, a rival, or spectator lol. You’re calling them out and turning it into a moment. This is a category of playful shade, competitive heat, and friendly rivalry — so make it fun and make it unforgettable.

Tips: Keep it cute, respectful, but make it hot. This is about energy, surprise, and causing a gag.
