Next month, H-Town is gonna be the home of a brand-new venue. It goes by the name Ductwork Houston, and it’s the brainchild of long-running rave promoter Disco Presents.
“For months, we’ve been building toward something special in Houston,” reads Disco Presents’ announcement. “Today, we’re excited to finally share what’s next! This September, the first chapter of our story begins with Ductwork Houston, officially opening its doors Labor Day Weekend at 813 Emmanuel St, Houston TX 77003.”
Ductwork’s opening weekend features headline sets by UK progressive trance figurehead Gareth Emery, Brazilian tech house star Beltran, and Dutch big room mainstay Don Diablo on September 4th, 5th, and 6th, respectively. Out on the horizon, artists like William Black, Bonnie X Clyde, Flosstradamus, and DJ Diesel are set to take the stage.
According to the statement, the team behind Ductwork is aiming to bring “the SILO standard” to a Houston venue. SILO Dallas is a 32,000-square-foot dance music club that also belongs to Disco Presents. It opened its doors in September 2024 and has billed such superstars as Illenium, Chris Lake, Eric Prydz, Indo Warehouse, and deadmau5.
The building housing Ductwork Houston previously belonged to Warehouse Live, which played host to performances by pop and hip-hop superstars like Drake, Adele, and Kendrick Lamar. In December 2023, Warehouse Live relocated to a Midtown location that used to house the two-story nightclub Rise Rooftop.
Disco Presents, which used to go by the name Disco Donnie Presents, was founded by Donnie Estopinal in 1995. The company primarily threw raves in various cities throughout the South, and Estopinal became a topic of international news while successfully fighting DEA charges stemming from the Crack House Statute and RAVE Act, which were introduced to apply pressure to the burgeoning rave phenomenon. The company rebranded to its current name in 2024.
