The genre-defying Champagne Drip will take over Mission Ballroom on October 27th for his biggest show yet, Champagne with Friends. Dripping with nostalgia, his parties tend to bring you on a space odyssey like no other full of ravetastic vibes. With this event so close to Halloween, I’m sure Champagne Drip has a few tricks (and musical treats!) up his sleeve.

Sam Pool aka Champagne Drip is an L.A.-based DJ and producer. He first made his mark in the bass community with his former moniker, SPL. He spent years creating and finessing grimy, booty-shaking drum and bass, dubstep and trap. After 10 years, Pool felt the SPL project had run its course. In 2014, he pivoted, creating Champagne Drip as an opportunity to explore more tropical and bassy sounds.

During Champagne Drip’s first year, he built momentum while keeping his identity a secret. He released banger remixes and an explosive Mad Decent debut EP, Radio Bikini, all while hiding his real name. The music community was in awe of this anonymous musical genius. His uplifting jungle tones with effervescent synths created an incredible fascination. It was only a matter of time before he’d need to reveal himself.

His second release on Mad Decent was a darker venture appropriately titled Journey. At this point, Pool felt he’d honed his sound enough to tell the world his identity. And everyone went nuts, falling in love with Pool yet again, this time as Champagne Drip.

Champagne Drip continues to toe the line of bass music, creating sounds truly his own. His most recent EP, Time Warp, pays homage to Pool’s past. It gives love to underground raves and to the sounds that first got him into music, serving as a voyage through space and time. You can bet his show at Mission Ballroom will be nothing less than out-of-this-world.

Speaking of Mission Ballroom, this 60,000 square foot venue is perfect for Champagne Drip to unleash his space odyssey. It’s full of state-of-the-art everything, from the sound to lights, and it features a spacious dance floor. It’s got a flexible setup and can seat anywhere from just shy of 4,000 patrons to a more intimate 2,200 depending on the event. Either way, it’s the most innovative and ideal space for a performer such as Champagne Drip.

Now, a night called Champagne with Friends needs musical support from some very special friends. Of course, Pool’s got that covered. He’s bringing out Tripp St., Mad Zach, Sully, Xotix  and Common Creation, each adding to an already electric night.

With Champagne and Friends happening so close to Halloween, this event will surely sell out. I guarantee you won’t want to miss a chance to have some Champagne with Mr. Drip himself. So grab your tickets to Champagne Drip’s ‘Champagne with Friends’ before they’re all gone.
