This Easter weekend at Red Rocks Amphitheatre was nothing short of eventful. For a second year, Boogie T (real name Brock Thornton) and his striking palette of supporting artists took over Red Rocks to bring us a technicolor feast for the senses: the Boogie T On The Rocks II concert.

Boogie T On The Rocks was Lit Up by the Finest Smoke
April has arrived in style and there’s no better way to celebrate new beginnings, green grass (*ahem*, all kinds of grass 😜), and the beginning of outdoor concert season than a show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
Opening artist Austeria kicked off the show with a set that radiated energy and passion. Her combination of melodic tunes mixed with heavy-hitting dubstep drops sent the growing crowd wild!
DJ duo Integrate, a collaboration between Black Carl! and VCTRE, was next to hit the decks. A rainbow stretched across the horizon behind them as they took us on a musical journey. They dished out a crowd-pleasing mixture of styles ranging from drum and bass to wobbly dubstep that kept the party going.
The Widdler took control of the stage next with prestige. Cheers erupted from the stands as he remixed “Sandstorm” by Darude, keeping everyone on their feet. As he changed the night’s pace with down-to-earth dub and wubs, resisting the urge to dance was futile (not like we tried, though😁)!
Next to grace the stage was Boogie T.Rio. This funky troupe set their performance apart from all other artists of the night with live guitar riffs and pounding drums. Their amazing hit songs like “Disco Moses” and “Dear Weedman” captured the essence of springtime in Colorado perfectly.
Manic Focus was next to hit the stage. His funky and easygoing dubstep was smooth and lively, giving us renewed energy to dance. We were treated to a special live guitar performance by Marvel Years. Together, they shredded the night away.

Boogie T
Thornton began with a cool Red Rocks history reel before ripping right into his set. Slinging a mixture of reggae-riddim-dubstep beats, he took the energy of the night to a whole new level. His track “2KFO” rang through the stands like bells as neon-colored psychedelic visuals flashed across the stage.
Our bodies grooved to every face-melting drop, and we couldn’t get enough of his funky-fantastic music. Lasers danced over our heads as fans screeched with delight. Bass heads got their fill as deep, wonky wobbles carried us through the rest of the night.
Overall, Boogie T On The Rocks II was a beautiful collective effort of undeniable talent. We can’t wait to see if Thornton will return to headline Red Rocks again next year!
