Spread The Word Music Festival returns to Denver this weekend, kicking off Friday, May 17th. The festival is back for an impressive 7th year with a line-up hand-picked for the diverse music scene here in the Mile High City. The line-up spreads across a wide variety of genres “with styles ranging from rock, jam, funk, electronic, reggae, folk and every kind of fusion in-between.” In a generation where the commercialization of music and festivals has become all too prevalent, the Spread the Word website boasts “Since 2013, StW Fest has taken the grassroots approach to assemble an unforgettable party that celebrates the pieces that create Colorado’s thriving music scene. Get ready…2019 promises to be the best year yet!

Spread the Word also takes on a unique aspect of moving locations each day, which ensures that all 3-days are a unique experience for attendees. The festival kicks off Friday, May 17th at Cervantes’ Ballroom & Other Side, moving to Denver Coliseum Saturday, May 18th, and wrapping up at Levitt Pavillion Sunday, May 19th. On top of a well-crafted line-up that showcases the festivals attention to the Colorado scene, the festival also includes “live painters, local vendors & food trucks, meet-and-greets, silent discos, giveaways & much more.”

Spread the Word boasts a unique line-up, including the likes of Boombox,  Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Wookiefoot, Mike Love (of The Beach Boys), The Werks, and a special Spread the Word Family Band. The event-specific Spread the Word Family band looks to be a highlight of the weekend, and will be a gem for lovers of jam bands. The group includes members of Sunsquabi, The String Cheese Incident, Thievery Corporation, and Pretty Lights live band. The Spread the Word Family Band is slated to play the 303 stage Saturday night at the Denver Coliseum.
